To celebrate the Year of the Snake, Duck Duck Books is proud to support Shuang Wen School, New York City’s only Mandarin/English dual language public school, with a donation from our quarterly give-back initiative.

Located in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, Shuang Wen School has been a pillar of bilingual education, empowering students to become fluent in both Mandarin and English. In 2024, the school was honored with the National Blue Ribbon School designation from the U.S. Department of Education—an incredible achievement that reflects its dedication to academic excellence. However, despite this well-earned recognition, public funding does not cover all the resources the school needs to thrive.

At Duck Duck Books, we recognize the importance of culturally inclusive education and the need for equitable access to learning materials. As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting BIPOC communities, we continue to fulfill our promise of donating 10% of sales each quarter to an organization in need. Our contribution to Shuang Wen School helps provide essential resources for students, ensuring they have the tools to succeed in both language and life.

For the past three years, we have proudly given back to organizations that uplift underrepresented communities. This mission is woven into every book we create and every initiative we support.
